How To Deal With Rioters

There is a big difference between protesting and rioting. The act of destroying property, burning cars, hurling rocks at police and other authorities, lunging aggressively at officials giving press conferences, blocking highways, and otherwise disrupting others in our society is NOT protest. It is illegal aggressive rioting and should be met with the stiffest legal penalties, including time in prison.
There seems to be a new paradigm in our society, a paradigm of entitlement, that says if you don't have what you think you deserve, you can harm and upset the lives of others until the political apparatus succumbs to your wishes. There is nothing more un-American than this belief!
As an American, you are entitled to NOTHING except for the protection of your life, your liberty, and your property. These are the ONLY things our government was designed to protect under the U.S. Constitution, and they are the only measurable things any of us have.
You are NOT entitled to government benefits, a job, a decent lifestyle, a retirement, a car, a home, healthcare, a family, social security, enough food, adequate clothing, long life, vaccines, welfare, or any other physical thing. A free society doesn't care if you die broke or rich. It doesn't care if you are healthy or sick. Nor does it care if you have enough or not. It doesn't even care if you made good choices, or unknowingly destroyed your life with bad decisions. Nobody owes you any of this stuff, and you have no right to demand it.
The ONLY thing our free society cares about is if you have the freedom to pursue those things that you believe make you happy, that you are free in your pursuit of happiness. With this in mind, your rights for the protection of life, liberty, and property are equally aligned with others who have the same protections. The law does not permit you to preserve or enhance your life or property at the expense of others, especially without their consent.
The riots we see happening throughout America this past week are nothing more than illegal criminal activity. Those committing the crimes should pay severely for their illegal offensive actions that harm the life, liberty, or property of others. Their actions are not American, nor is there any good whatsoever that comes of them.
Even more disturbing are the unAmerican politicians encouraging the destruction of property or blocking of roadways. Equally, if not more unAmerican, are those who fund these illegal efforts.
This past week, news articles were published indicating Christie Walton, wife of John Walton, who is Sam Walton's son and heir to the Walmart fortune, was funding non-profit corporations that helped fund and organize the riots. Upon learning this, even Walmart publicly distanced itself from her. Other billionaire names in the news associated with funding the riots included Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and an old time favorite known for these activities, Geoge Soros.
Not only should the rioters be in prison for their illegal activities, but ANYONE enabling them or funding them should also be prosecuted and imprisoned.
And this brings me to the not-so-subtle way I feel about such criminals and how they need to be dealt with. This Youtube video of the sheriff in Florida's Brevard County has the right idea: Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey saying what will happen if protesters break the law in his county.
A lawless society is neither safe nor respected. We are long overdue for the law to be laid down and firmly enforced on the rioters, and their organizers and funders. Our freedom depends on it. It is time for schools to correctly teach the basics of our constitutional protections and our Declaration of Independence. To teach students that nothing is free, and that hard work and creativity are the path to success in America, not rioting and illegal destruction of property.
There is right and there is wrong. What the rioters are doing is wrong, and the penalties for that wrong should be steep, or they will repeat their illegal activity again. It is time for this immature criminal behavior to stop. Arrest them, charge them, and deport them if possible.
